Soufflé for my first challenge! Wonderful. I have always wanted to make soufflé AND I love Gordon Ramsay so I was excited. However, I have never eaten it before so I really had no idea if it came out correctly or not... I made the chocolate soufflé and had a couple of friends over to help me eat 'em. They were happy to oblige :)
It really wasn't as big of a deal as i thought it would be. I think the savory soufflé is probably more of a challenge. I laid out all my ingredients and realized I didn't have enough eggs so i sent my friends to my neighbor to get two more. Then i cracked them all open into a big bowl and realized that i needed only the whites... Luckily i was able to scoop out the yolks without breaking any. I had no problems with any part of the preparation process.

So, since i have never had a soufflé, I wasn't exactly sure when it was ready. I only have the pictures to reference. It looks in the pictures like the top part is pretty dry when it comes out of the oven. After the first 15 minutes it looked like the cracked part on top was still a little wet so i decided to put it in for another minute.

It looked super yummy. But when i broke into it, it didn't seem to have much of a creamy texture like I have read about or seen on tv. So I'm thinking it was overcooked a bit. But it was still tasty! I'm planning on trying the artichoke crab one at some point.
